THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS.

This is the very first blog of the Frankston Blues 2011 USA tour.
My name is Craig Hill and It's my great pleasure to be the tour manager for this, my third USA tour.
These tours are sensational on so many different levels.
The personal growth of the athletes is amazing, the cultural experience is wonderful and the basketball awesome.
Several athletes from previous tours still talk about their wonderful memories and experiences from the USA.
Although my last tours have been to the same States on the East coast, we have visited several different cities and towns along the way. We have visited many schools, some very wealthy, some not so. Some that provide a wonderful home stay experience and some that your glad their is no home stay. From Georgia in the South to Washington DC further North, there is a WOW factor around every corner.
The White House
This years tour will take in the sight of Washington DC. The White House, several historic monuments, a couple of the exhibits of the Smithsonian museums we may get to the Ford Theatre where President Lincoln was shot and like last year we'll try and have lunch at the Australian Embassy.
The Aussie burger eaten in America made by a Korean is something we should experience.

The Washinton Monument

Air and Space Museum

Hopefully the huge storm that has just ripped through Virginia and North Carolina has not impacted enough to limit our stay at Virginia Beach. This is the home of Ocean Lakes High School. The nicest school and people you'll ever meet. If we receive the same treatment as last year then your in for something special. The special American breakfast, the day spent in class and the hoopla of the game are pricless. This, I hope will also be one of our home stays.

Heading South, we will encounter some of the most famous colleges known to basketball. Duke, UNC possibly Wake Forrest to name a couple.

Duke Womens game.
We shop our shoes off at a couple of the largest shopping malls known to man kind. Patomac and Concord Mills are something to behold. Even us blokes find our feminine side and shop till we drop. If you think Chadstone is big..........Watch out.

Hannah and Carly with Michael
The party really begins when we fly out to L.A. Hollywood walk of fame, the Kodak Cinema, Disneyland, California Adventure Park, Universal Studios, and much more. WOW I'm getting excited.

Just all big kids.
THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME.
